GROWING TIPS
Clumping
Clumping is quite often associated with lack of moisture in the casing layer. The lack of moisture could be generalised or localised. If the peat is of good quality and of the right depth (5cm) it will be easier to manage the moisture level.
The Casing Layer
Pre-mixed peats (peat with added lime) quite often require extra water to be added at the time of casing. Do not allow the peat to dry out; on the other hand do not overwater and create puddling on the casing surface.
We are the Australian distributors of McDon Peat from Ireland, and we can
supply your farm with 50L bags or bulker bags of this top quality peat moss.
